The Institute of Public Analysts of Nigeria (IPAN) is a professional regulatory body of Public Analysts established by Decree No.100 of 1992 (now IPAN ACT CAP.I.16 LFN 2004) to train, examine, register Public Analysts and regulate their practice.

 

VISION

To develop excellent professional Scientific Analysts who would act as catalysts for the industrial developement of Nigeria and develop professional practices that would attain international reference status in the analysis of consumer products for the health and economic well-being of mankind

MISSION

Public Analysts shall use professional best practices to carry out their scientific and technical roles in health and the environment to promote technological advancement and economic well-being of the nation.

 

Who is a Public Analyst?

A Public Analyst is a registered member of the Institute of Public Analysts of NIgeria (IPAN) who, after obtaining relevant license of the institute is empowered to carry out analysis and other related functions on Food, Drugs, Medical Devices, Cosmetics, Water and all chemically based consumer products. Thereafter, he/she issues certificate of fitness or otherwise on the products for the purpose of human use. it is only such certificates that are tenable in any law court or tribunal of the land.
